Overview
Your Complete Guide to the AI Basics Track
A continuously-growing reference covering the AI introduction track's projects in order: from responsible use of digital tools, through prompting basics, to understanding large language models' capabilities and trade-offs, with examples you run yourself, so you build understanding you can apply in your own projects. This guide grows with every new project added to the track.
Each part opens with the prerequisites, then the concepts, then a figure that shows the idea, then a worked example. Read the parts in order, because each builds on the one before.
Each part ends with multiple-choice questions, flashcards you flip by clicking, and “check your understanding” questions with hidden answers. Use them before you say “I get it”.
Do not leave a part before its exercise passes. Reading proves nothing on its own; the exercise does.

The three projects in this section are arranged chronologically: from the ethical foundation, through the skill of communicating with models, to understanding their internal mechanics.
