Overview
Your complete guide to Frameworks: Express, FastAPI, React and Next.js
Build step four: join the interface, the server and the data into one product. You start with what a framework is and why we use one, then the kinds of frameworks (front end, server, full stack) and how to choose, then you build with the tools companies use: Express and FastAPI for the server, then React for the interface, then Next.js for an interface with a server.
Non-technical and technical learners alike. Every part opens two ways in: a plain path built on an analogy for someone starting from zero, and a detailed path for someone who knows the basics and wants depth.
An animation, then what you need before you start, then the idea with code you run, then a worked example, then review cards and "test your understanding" questions.
Do not leave a part before you can answer its questions without guessing. Reading alone proves nothing.

A look at Frameworks: Express, FastAPI, React and Next.js
You start with the idea before the names: what a framework is and why we do not write everything from scratch, then the map of framework kinds (front end, server, full stack) and how to choose between them. Then you enter the frameworks themselves where you left off with the server: Express in JavaScript, which also gives you the Node the front end needs, then FastAPI in Python with the same orders API so you can compare. Then the front: React automates what you wrote by hand in the DOM lesson, and Next.js joins the interface and the server in one project.
| Part | Topic | You learn |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | What is a framework? And why not start from scratch | Repeated code, the ready skeleton, library versus framework, the gain and the price |
| 2 | Kinds of frameworks and how to choose | Front end, server and full stack, small versus batteries included, the questions to choose with, the track plan |
| 3 | Node.js and Express: a server in JavaScript | The event loop, routes, middleware, validation, the error handler |
| 4 | FastAPI: modern Python APIs | Routes and types, Pydantic, /docs, Depends, async |
| 5 | React: interfaces built from components | UI = f(state), Vite, components and JSX, props, useState, forms, keys, lifting state, useEffect |
| 6 | Next.js: React with a server and routing | Server rendering, App Router, layout and Link, server and client components, loading and error, dynamic routes, server actions, deployment |
